"Sheer clothing had its own share of drawbacks throughout its controversial existence. During the past six years, the see-through clothing trend managed to evolve form a seasonal accent into a year-round trend, meeting a fabulous ascent during the spring and summer of 2012.
This season the sheer clothing dominance met new heights, with runways all over the world caving in to the alluring aesthetic that highlights femininity as a fashion weapon for the spring and summer of 2013." - Nicoleta Parascanhttp://www.fashionising.com/trends/b--see-through-clothes-sheer-fashion-953.html
"This spring, sheer is absolutely everywhere, from skirts, to dresses to blouses. Sure, the trend may seem a little daunting and risqué, but when worn correctly, sheer can be classy and cute for any occasion—from a night out to the office. Wearing sheer in the workplace may first strike you as a little inappropriate, and in some cases, that’s true. For most working women, wearing a sheer blouse with nothing but a bra underneath it is definitely not fit for an office environment." - Alyssa, FashioniSTA

"Wearing a sheer blouse with a camisole or bandeau underneath gives the effect of a sheer top while still being office/school appropriate. Another top I love is the black rouged top that is only sheer around the shoulders. And if you want the effect of a sheer piece without anything actually being see through the dress above is a great option." -Caroline

"Sheer panels help strike a careful balance of exposing a flash of skin that's seductive without revealing too much. Although this see-through number leaves little to the imagination, it's still sophisticated enough for a more formal occasion." -Marie Claire
"Despite the fact that chiffons and georgettes require a high amount of skill to handle, the 'sheer' trend seems to have become a milestone in the international fashion. Also, due to the extreme feminine quality of this fabric, women are willingly embracing the trend. International designers too have experimented with this look giving the world numerous ideas that can be interpreted into endless design possibilities. The most common and popular silhouette for sheer fabric is the tightened waist." - Apparel Resources

Catt Sadler: I would say no to the sheer trend. I know you girls are really young and hot, you can get away with all the sheer stuff but I would pick something more suitable.
TV personality and celeb stylist Robert Verdi agrees: “I think the trends that we'll see…are ruffles, ruffles, ruffles, sheer overlays, and an occasional nod to the Far East seen in a delicate origami fold of the fabric or magnificent embroidery.”
